SEMULIKI-QUEEN ELIZABETH TOUR UGANDA
Day 1: Kampala - Semuliki National Park
A guide from AA safaris wiil pick you up from your ovrernight hotel and you head for Semuliki National park via Mubende.Uganda safari Enroute expect to notice a change in the living conditions of the local people as you transfer from urban life to indigenous life where agricuture is the main activity.The journey is approximately 6to 7 hours but it involves alot of scenic viewing along the way.You will be transfered to the eastern side of Lake Albert.This because Semuliki is located on the floor of the western arm of the great Rift valley. A visit to Semuliki provides a taste of Central Africa just a couple of hours from the comfort of fortportal town.
The park has one of Africa’s most bio diversified forest with plenty of bird species.It is also a home for about 53 mammals that include forest elephants, buffalos, the semuliki river contains the crocodiles, hippos and other aquatic lives. The park generally has moised semi-deciduous forest with a variety of tree species. In the damp rain forest, apes, lions,Uganda tour and other wildlife occupants find refugee. Chimps exist next to elephant.After dinner, there is a provision for a night drive where you are able to view the nocturnal like the bushbaby, the potto and other big cats. They opperate at night.The park has the only night spot drive in Uganda.
Have an overnight at Semuliki safari lodge (FB).
Day 2: Semuliki National Park Tou
Have breakfast and proceed for a boat drive on lake Albert with packed lunch.During the drive, expect to see the rare shoebiil especially between dodo and dinosaur. The view of the lake is incredible. There are sand cliffs where brightly colored colonies of red-throated bee-eaters dart in and out of their burrows. The spectacular waterfalls that are several Kilometers up the lake give a lovely picnic site comprising numerous fishing grounds as you move close to the site.The virgin ground makes you appreciate the beauty of nature.After you drive back to the lodge though the borassus palm forest and the acacia savannah exposing you to the various species of raptors and passerines.
Move back to Semuliki safari lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 : connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast,you will go for a community tour through the Bamba and Bakonjo villages.This group of the human race has been excluded from civilisation for many years.Uganda safaris The most intresting group is the Batwa group with short people.More about such amazing humans is got when you participate in this activity.The differences between human being can be got when you make a tour to such communities. When returning you will drive through the ever green countryside and descend the western arm of the rift valley then Fort Portal.you will connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the crater gate where several dry and wet craters can be viewed along the way to the headquaters.Don’t miss out to see the foothills of the mighty RWenzori mountain as they form an undurating sky line. Arrive at Mwea penisular in time for lunch at the lodge.
Move down the Kazinga channel have fun at the luanch cruise. Many animals cross your site as they descend down to the channel to relax and to qeuench there thirst.Some of such animals include the hippos, buffalos, several bird species, crocodiles and and so many other wildlife occupants that find there way to the channel.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology (FB).
Day 4 : Tour to Kyambura Gorge
Take breakfast early in the morning and head for Kyambura gorge to pay a visit to the closest cousins of the humans.The chimpanzee tracking activity takes about 3to 5 hours and this guided walk starts at 0800hrs.During the walk, other exited primates like the monkeys,baboons plus birds may add more to your wild entertainment.
D rive back to the lodge for lunch and relax after a long day of activity. One may choose to relax at the pool.gorilla safari Uganda In the evenning, prepare for a game drive via the Kob mating ground to Kasenyi fish landing site.On the way expect to see some warthogs, elephants solitary buffalos and other amazing beasts.
Return to the Lodge or camping site or institute of ecology ready for dinner and over night(FB)
Day5 : Travel back to Kampala
Have breakfast in the morning after preparing to travel back to Kampala via Mbarara- Masaka route.Enroute stop at the Equator to take on the water experiment and photographs.
Arrive Kampala late in the evening and end the tour.
